It is the first generation of light tanks developed by France after World War II. It was designed in 1946 and officially put into production in 1952. It is named for its weight of 13 tons, has a sturdy and reliable chassis, and is equipped with a rotary magazine-type swing turret produced by GIAT Industrial Group (now NexterSystems). The design positioning is used for reconnaissance and has certain anti-tank capabilities. Its chassis is small and compact, suspended by torsion bars, and each side has five load wheels and two supporting wheels. The biggest feature is its swing turret design, the gun is fixed on the upper part, and the lower part is installed on the turret seat ring.
