Dachshund is a carnivorous mammal of the canine family, also known as badger hunting dog. It is a hunting dog specifically used to capture wild animals in narrow caves. Due to its short limbs and a body resembling a sausage, it is named a sausage dog. The longest lifespan can reach over 15 years, making it very suitable as a companion dog. Dachshunds were born in Germany in the mid-19th century and were sent to England. At the beginning of the 20th century, the British cultivated mini dachshunds, which were about 5 kilograms smaller than regular dachshunds. At the 1972 Munich Olympics in Germany, it was used as the official mascot, symbolizing the Olympic spirit of resilience, agility, and harmony among athletes.
