Pacific bluefin tuna, also known as northern black tuna or tuna, is a bony fish belonging to the family Scombridae in the order Perciformes. The Pacific bluefin tuna is mainly distributed in subtropical and temperate waters of the North Pacific and North Atlantic. Belonging to fast swimming temperate oceanic upper middle class fish, it has highly migratory characteristics and prefers to cluster. Prey on fish, cephalopods, crustaceans, etc. Due to significant changes in the consumption of deep freezing and commercial fishing, by the early 1990s, the adult population of the Atlantic had decreased to only 13% of the population level in 1975.
