The white rhinoceros is a mammal belonging to the family Rhinocephalidae in the order Chariotiformes. The skin is thick and smooth, and the surface of the body is approximately gray; The head is particularly long, with degenerated front and canine teeth, and thick and powerful limbs. Both the front and rear limbs have three toes; The upper lip is flat and wide, forming a square shape, hence it is called the broad snouted rhinoceros or the square snouted rhinoceros. The white rhinoceros is distributed in southern and northeastern Africa, living near jungles, grasslands, forests, and plains, occasionally entering steep mountain swamps. Human beings hunt rhinoceroses indiscriminately to obtain their horns, resulting in a sharp decrease in the number of white rhinoceroses. It belongs to the Near Threatened (NT) level in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
