Also known as the Great Unicorn Rhinoceros, it is a rare large mammal mainly distributed in India and Nepal. It is one of the largest surviving species of rhinoceros, known for its massive size and unique single horn. The skin is thick and has large folds on it, which help them stay cool when rolling in the mud. Residing in grasslands, swamps, and dense forests, it is a herbivorous animal that mainly feeds on grass, leaves, branches, and aquatic plants. It is a solitary animal that usually lives alone, except for the female rhinoceros and its cubs during mating and raising. Listed as a vulnerable species and protected by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
