Pterodactylus is a pterosaur from the late Jurassic period, characterized by a lightweight and compact skull, thin and hollow bones, a particularly elongated first finger to support membrane wings, and short hind limbs. All members of the pterosaurid family have short tails and long heads. Some species of pterosaur in the middle have a body size similar to sparrows; Some can be as large as eagles, with wings that can reach 30-70 centimeters, feeding on insects, while others may forage for fish. The entire population of pterosaurs is a suborder of pterosaurs. It does not truly belong to dinosaurs in classification, but is only a close relative of dinosaurs.
