The giant ape is an extinct genus of apes that lived in China, India, and Vietnam approximately 1-3 million years ago. It shares the same time frame and geographical location as several hominid families. It is a ground dwelling ape similar to a gorilla, and is likely the largest ape in the world. The giant ape stands up to 3m tall and weighs 500kg. The morphological characteristics of giant apes are between those of apes and humans. Giant apes have strong canine teeth and huge molars, which are about five times larger than modern human teeth. Biting a bamboo as thick as a bowl is as easy as breaking a toothpick. My favorite food is bamboo, and I occasionally eat leaves and fruits.
