Nicrossaurus is a genus of sauropods in the order Phytosaurales. Their appearance and lifestyle may be similar to crocodiles, but they are not closely related to crocodiles, but rather the result of parallel evolution. The main difference between Niccolosaurus and crocodiles lies in the position of their nostrils. Niccolosaurus has its nostrils located on the forehead, while crocodiles have their nostrils located at the end of their snouts. It is a herbivorous dinosaur.
