On the obverse of the medal is a middle-aged bearded bust of George G. In 1538, he was granted the position of Deputy Prime Minister newly established by the Holy Roman Empire. Ginger was a supporter of Catholic church reform and provided advice to King Ferdinand I on religious affairs on multiple occasions. Starting from 1563, he served as the Marshal of the Supreme Court.
