It is a private island located in Mahon Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, with an area of approximately 12000 square meters, known for its mysterious "money pit" legend. In 1795, Daniel McInnis discovered a ground depression under a large oak tree on the island and began digging with two friends, discovering a vertical shaft about 9 meters deep with a layered oak platform inside. The excavation was eventually stopped due to the vertical shaft being submerged by seawater. Attracted countless treasure hunters who attempted to uncover the secrets in the shaft, but all ended in failure. Legend has it that the shaft may hold treasures of pirates such as William Kidd, Henry Morgan, or Blackbeard.
