The 1/3-inch high-definition CMOS PRO sensor of the new Canon iVIS HF G20 has approximately 2.07 million effective pixels, enhanced microlenses, and color filters for transparency. Compared to the previous model iVIS HF G10, it has a 20% increase in sensitivity. The minimum rated illuminance of HF G20 is about 1.2 lux, which is an improvement from its predecessor's approximately 1.5 lux, allowing users to shoot videos in environments with less available light. It can achieve the same level of optical performance as professional XF105 high-definition video cameras.
