The PPSh-41 is a semi-automatic shooting, bolt, recoil submachine gun that can fire 7.62 x 25mm Tokalev bullets. It was designed by George Shipagin of the Soviet Union and is a cheaper and simplified alternative to PPD-40. PPSh-41 engaged in extensive combat during World War II and the Korean War. It became one of the main infantry weapons of the Red Army during World War II, producing approximately 6 million units of PPSh-41.
