It is a main battle tank developed by North Korea. Its design is based on the Soviet T-62 tank and has been upgraded and improved in many aspects. The armor includes cast turrets, spacer armor, and explosive reactive armor, providing a degree of protection. The primary armament is a 115mm or 125mm smoothbore gun, and the secondary armament includes a 14.5mm anti-aircraft machine gun and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. The use of torsion bar suspension improves off-road maneuverability. It is a modern and improved model of North Korea based on the Soviet T-62 of tanks and combined with its own technology, reflecting North Korea's efforts to pursue self-reliance in tank design and manufacturing.
