The Ka-220 helicopter (NATO code name: Hoop) is a Soviet type transport helicopter with a fixed wing rotor combination. The Ka-220 helicopter combines the capabilities of a helicopter used for vertical takeoff and landing with the capabilities of a fixed wing aircraft. The Ka-220 has a large payload that is comparable in size to Antonov An-12. The Ka-220 has set a total of eight world records for the altitude and speed that airplanes of the same class can reach, and none of them have been broken.
