The Seth period was the 26th dynasty in ancient Egyptian history (664-525 BC), also known as the Seth dynasty. This period lasted approximately from 664 BC to 525 BC. Egypt was ruled by foreign invaders, including Assyrians and Persians. Seth or Seth deity usually appears in the form of a jackal. Seth is regarded as the god of war, chaos, and the desert, and his image is often associated with wolves or jackal heads. This copper alloy statue is currently located at the Chicago School of the Arts.
