Yuya was an important figure during the New Kingdom period (15th century BC). He was the father-in-law of ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutmosis III and the father of Egyptian queen Tiye. Yuya's Canopus box contains Yuya's internal organs, including lungs, stomach, liver, and kidneys. In the funeral ceremonies of ancient Egypt, these organs were placed in four canopus boxes for use in the afterlife. The Canopus box of Yuya is currently housed in the Luxor Museum and is a precious artwork and archaeological relic that represents the exquisite craftsmanship and cultural traditions of Egypt's higher society at that time.
