The Lower Cretaceous period is approximately 112 million to 100 million years ago. Ammonite is a type of ancient organism belonging to a branch of the cephalopod class. They are a type of extinct marine invertebrates with a spiral shape. This type of ammonite is found in the Mahajanga Basin in northwestern Madagascar, also known as Madagascar ammonite fossils. Currently housed in the Vienna Museum of Natural History
