One of the most famous Victory Statues is Nike's Winged Victory of Samothrace. This statue was found in a holy place on a mountain on the Greek island of Samo Truss, hence its name. It is considered a masterpiece of Greek sculpture from the 2nd century BC and is currently housed in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.
