This machine is developed by Tomorrow's New Vision based on the HG version of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, after applying its own original coating. The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam was developed as the final stage of the UC program of the Federal Space Force's reorganization program. Its designation "RX-0" was given the dual meaning of "returning to the original point" and "exploring a new era". In 0096, two machines were manufactured by Anaheim Electronics at the lunar Granada factory, and this machine was the first of the two machines.
