Jumping spider is a general term for the family of jumping spiders in the order Arachniformes. The jumping spider family is the largest family in the spider order, with approximately 3000 species worldwide. The body is mostly short, thick, and slightly flat, with thick, short, and strong feet. It is good at jumping, hence its name. Jumping spiders are mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. Jumping spiders are wandering spiders. Apart from hiding, molting, and nesting during spawning, they do not form webs and are fierce in nature. They can prey on various pests, have good eyesight, and have unique discernment ability. Jumping spiders capture prey through various movements such as stealth, chasing, and jumping. The jumping spider is the only animal that can live for a long time at high altitudes on Mount Everest.
