Taiman ichthyosaurus, also known as Leptodontosaurus or Caryodontosaurus, is an extinct ichthyosaurus. Fossils have been found in Europe and lived from the Hetang to Toal stages of the Early Jurassic. Taiman ichthyosaurus is a large ichthyosaurid with a maximum body length of over 9 meters. The Teichthyosaurus is the only valid genus of the Teichthyosauridae family, belonging to the suborder Ichthyosauridae, order Ichthyosauroidei, order Xunosauridae, class Macroptera, class Meinosauridae, class Euichthyosaurids, class Small Belt, and class Neoichthyosaurus.
