Built between 1897 and 1899, it is approximately 54 meters high and has a capacity of 1500 cubic meters. Its bottom is composed of red porphyry, while the tower body is built with yellow bricks. Although it is now a water tower that is no longer in use, it has become an iconic building and tourist attraction in the city of Halle.
