Located in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, it is a historic single story masonry pumping station designed by Henry Brauns and built in 1931. It is still in use today and its architectural style incorporates elements from the Italian Renaissance period. It also reflects the characteristics of the Spanish colonial style, such as curved mountain walls and colorful pottery decorations. As a public facility, it played an important role in the technological advancement of Baltimore's public utilities in the early 20th century. Internally equipped with advanced electric pumping systems, replacing steam power technology from the 19th century.
