Giraffe (scientific name: Giraffa camelopardalis) is a ruminant cloven hoofed animal that grows in Africa. Its Latin name means "camel with leopard print". They are the tallest living terrestrial animals in the world. When standing, it can reach 6-8 meters from head to foot, weighs about 700 kilograms, and a newborn baby is 1.5 meters tall. They inhabit tropical and subtropical savannas, shrubs, open acacia forests, arid and open savannah areas, and semi desert areas with sparse trees in Africa.
