The Iowa class battleships have completed the construction of a total of 4, making them the world's longest, most powerful, fastest (reaching 33 knots), and the latest retired battleships. Due to the cancellation of the construction of the Montana class, the successor ship of the Iowa class, this class battleship became the last class battleship of the United States Navy.
