The 1967 Camaro, released on September 26, 1966, was designed based on the Chevrolet Nova. The basic design of Camaro adopts a single piece body structure from the windshield to the rear firewall, with a separate steel pipe subframe to support all front components of the vehicle. The double swing arms form the front independent suspension system, while the fixed rear axle is suspended by a semi elliptical steel plate spring. As a typical modern car standard configuration, its brakes are applied through four brake drums, with slow steering and manual operation.
