Walruses are carnivorous mammals in the family Elephantidae, which has only one species and no subspecies. The body is cylindrical, sturdy and obese. Can crawl on land and swing left and right while swimming. They are mostly distributed in the Arctic Ocean and can sometimes be seen in the Atlantic and northern Pacific.
