The Southern Ridge Dolphin is the only dolphin in the Southern Hemisphere that does not have a dorsal fin. Distributed around Antarctica. Mainly found in temperate waters, most records appear in the northern part of the Antarctic Circle. I often swim along the Humboldt cold ocean currents to subtropical latitudes, possibly as far as the northern waters off Chile at 19 degrees south latitude. Predating various fish and squid, especially lantern fish is the most common. Enjoy group tours, with hundreds or even thousands of people forming groups. If the Southern Dew Ridge Dolphin is in distant waters or during rapid parades, it may be mistaken for a penguin; And when it slowly marches, it will be mistaken for a sea dog or sea lion. The Southern Dew Ridge Dolphin is named after the larger Southern Dew Right Whale, which has no dorsal fins.
