The Nanluji dolphin is the only dolphin in the southern hemisphere without a dorsal fin. Distributed around Antarctica. Mainly found in temperate waters, with most records occurring in the northern part of the Antarctic Circle. Often following the Humboldt cold ocean currents to subtropical latitudes, possibly as far as the northern coast of Chile at 19 degrees south latitude. Prey various fish and squid, especially lanternfish, which is the most common. Enjoy group tours, with hundreds or even thousands of people forming groups. Southern ridge dolphins may be mistaken for penguins when they are far away from the sea or traveling rapidly; And when it slowly marches, it will be mistaken for a sea dog or sea lion.
