Jingtai Blue, one of the famous special metal handicrafts in China, reached its peak in the production of this craft during the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, producing the most exquisite and famous handicrafts. Therefore, later generations referred to this type of metal artifact as "Jingtai Blue". Cloisonn é, also known as "copper body wire enamel" or "inlaid enamel", is a type of utensil made from soft flat copper wire twisted into various patterns and welded onto a copper body shape, and then filled with enamel colored glaze and fired inside the patterns. Due to its popularity during the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty and relatively mature production techniques, the enamel glaze used was mostly blue, hence the name "Jingtai Blue".
