The silver coin depicting Menander I on the obverse. Menander I was the king of ancient Greece Bactria and later India Greece. His ruling areas include present-day Balkh Province in Afghanistan, Khyber Pashtun Province in India, and the Greater Punjab region. This style is a version of Athena Archidemus, with the obverse depicting the head of Menander I and the reverse depicting Athena Archidemus standing on the left, holding a shield with his left hand and throwing thunder with his right hand. The Harvard Museum of Art has a collection of Menander I's silver coins.
