This unfinished marble sculpture began to be created around 1530 and is now located at the Barjero Museum in Florence, Italy. This work was initially commissioned by the head of the papal army, Baccio Vallori. Later, after Vallori was accused of treason and beheaded under the order of Cosimo I de Medici, the sculpture was taken into the possession of the Duke of Florence. The back part of this sculpture is completed, with a rough surface, showcasing Michelangelo's typical "unfinished" style.
