The sculpture is a cultural relic from the reign of the Ramapala dynasty in Bihar, eastern India (1078/79 to at least 1130 AD). The name is "Sky Walker Compassionate Bodhisattva". The sculpture is exquisitely decorated and made of kaolin, with traces of paint on it. This sculpture is the image of Avalokitesvara, a compassionate Bodhisattva with high magical power, sitting in an elegant posture with the image of Amitabha Buddha on his head. This image is a compassionate Bodhisattva who brings liberation to evil spirits. To Avalokitesvara's right is the Green Tara, holding a lotus flower in his hand, and to his left is the Four Armed Goddess, holding a prayer bead and a water bottle.
