Zhenwu Emperor, also known as Xuantian God, Xuanwu Emperor, Yousheng Zhenjun Xuantian God, and Wuliang Patriarch, is a famous deity in the northern region of Han Chinese mythology and legend. He is also known as the Jade Capital Zun Shen among Taoist immortals. The main deity worshipped in Wudang Mountain, Hubei Province is the Zhenwu Emperor. In the Daoist scriptures, he is referred to as the "Zhenzhen Wuling Yingyou Holy Emperor", abbreviated as the "Zhenwu Emperor". The Han people refer to it as Dang Mo Tian Zun, Bao En Zu Shi, and Pi Fa Zu Shi. After the Ming Dynasty, it had a great influence throughout the country, and the folk beliefs of the Han ethnic group in modern China were particularly common.
