This sculpture is part of a Calvary located in the city of Leitz, Lower Austria, and is a set of sculptures depicting scenes of Jesus' crucifixion. This Cross Mountain was built by the citizens of Leitz in 1727 as an expression of gratitude to commemorate the Black Death pandemic in 1713. This sculpture was created by an unknown artist, but his style was influenced by the Baroque period, especially the works of Austrian sculptor John Dominique Dona.
