Located in the far east of Türkiye (traditionally belonging to Armenia), it is a snow covered dormant compound volcano, which consists of two main volcanic cones: Greater Ale Mountain and Lesser Ale Mountain. Mount Da'ale is the highest peak of Türkiye and Armenia plateau, with an altitude of 16853 feet.
