Matanuska Glacier is a valley glacier in Alaska, United States. It is 27 miles (43 kilometers) long and 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) wide, making it the largest glacier that the United States can reach by car. Its glacier endpoint is the source of the Matanuska River. It is located near Glenn Road, approximately 100 miles (160 kilometers) northeast of Anchorage. The Matanuska Glacier has a daily flow of approximately 1 foot (30 centimeters). Due to the melting of glaciers in the lower regions, as of 2007, there has been little change in the position of the glacier tip over the past 30 years.
