咖啡黄葵（Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench）亦称黄秋葵，是锦葵科一年生草本植物。茎圆柱形，疏生散刺。叶掌状，裂片阔至狭，托叶线形，被疏硬毛。花单生于叶腋间，花梗疏被糙硬毛，小苞片钟形；花萼钟形，密被星状短绒毛；花黄色，内面基部紫色，蒴果筒状尖塔形，种子球形，具毛脉纹。花期5-9月。
