A camera launched in Japan in 1973. The version with added motor drive function on the basis of OM-1 is called OM-1 MD, which was upgraded to OM-1N in 1979 and discontinued in 1987. It has been in production for nearly 15 years, indicating its popularity. The design adopts a pentaprism that penetrates into the mirror box, making the body very compact and the viewfinder very bright, with a shooting range of up to 97%. In addition, the use of air shock absorbers greatly reduces the vibration and sound released by the shutter, and also has functions such as mirror pre lifting.
