The Sony A9 II is the upgraded version of the flagship model A9 in the A series, which is positioned higher than the A7 line. Like the original, the new model is aimed at the professional sports photography market and still features a 24.2 megapixel Exmor RS "stacked" CMOS sensor. The stack type sensor with integrated storage can achieve ultra-high speed reading and supplementing electronic shutter speed, achieving a maximum shutter speed of 1/32000 seconds and 20fps of high-speed continuous shooting without black screen. The Sony A9 II still has 693 phase detection autofocus points, covering 93% of the image area.
