Also known as pufferfish, boat bass, etc., it is a small warm temperate deep-sea fish. Usually, the body length is 10 to 15 centimeters and the weight is about 100 grams. This fish is covered with small spines on its back, abdomen, and sides, with circular fleshy protrusions at the base of the spines. There are light green circular spots of varying sizes on the back, with yellow brown edges forming a mesh like pattern. There are several dark brown horizontal bands on the upper part of the body, and there are indistinct black spots on the posterior upper part of the pectoral fins and the base of the dorsal fins. The fins are usually sandy yellow in color. I like to inhabit the rocky reefs and sandy bottoms near the coast, and have a habit of diving into sand. Its liver, intestines, and eggs all contain highly toxic substances, especially the liver which remains toxic throughout the year.
