Also known as the flip fish or sun fish, it is a large marine fish that lives in tropical and subtropical waters. Belonging to the order Tetraodontiformes, it is known for its enormous size and flat body. Weight can reach several hundred kilograms, and body length can exceed 3 meters. The body is oval shaped with flat sides, and the dorsal and anal fins are very long, covering almost the entire body. The head is small, the eyes are located on both sides of the body, and the mouth is small. It usually feeds on plankton and small fish. It is an oviparous fish, and female fish will lay a large number of eggs, which will float with the ocean currents. Adult pufferfish usually inhabit deeper waters, but sometimes they can also be close to the coast.
