Papilio maackii, also known as the deep mountain butterfly, is a species of the genus Papilio in the family Papilionidae. It is distributed in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, Chinese Mainland and other places. The wings are black and covered in golden green scales. The forelimb has yellow green horizontal stripes. There are six slightly crescent shaped red spots on the outer edge of the hind wing, and circular red spots on the buttock angle; There is a clear blue-green horizontal stripe on the outer edge of the near Asia region. There is also a blue-green line in the tail protrusion. The color tone on the reverse side of the wings is relatively light, and the red spots on the outer edge of the hind wings are particularly clear and obvious, with the blue-green horizontal band disappearing. It is one of the butterfly species widely collected by butterfly collectors, and butterfly traders call it the "Queen Butterfly".
