The official name of the Deathwing of the Destroyer is the Earth Guardian Nefaro, one of the five guardian dragons and the leader of the Black Dragon Legion. Thousands of years ago, Nefaro received divine gifts from the Titans, possessing the power to rule the earth and the supreme position of Azeroth. However, being bewitched by the ancient gods and falling into madness, he betrayed other guardian dragons in the ancient war and ultimately abandoned his title as the Earth Guardian, becoming the Death Guardian. Among the mortal world and dragons, his name has become synonymous with fear and contempt.
