Tang pottery painted female figurines are painted female figurines from the Tang Dynasty. The female figurine wore a hair comb and a family bun, with a face painted in red powder. Her silkworms had fine eyebrows and eyes, and her small mouth was covered in vermilion. Her facial features were relatively concentrated in the center of her face, appearing slightly compact. She wore a long skirt, with her hands wrapped in sleeves on her chest, and her belly was loose, as if she was walking slowly. After the mid Tang Dynasty, especially during the Kaiyuan and Tianbao periods, a fashion trend centered around obesity gradually emerged in society. Yang Guifei was favored by Li Longji, which further pushed this trend to the extreme. This female figurine is a typical reflection of the aesthetic tendency during the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
