Tilgaden, located in Berlin, was designed and installed by Otto Lessing. Established in memory of the famous German poet, playwright, and critic Gotthard Efram Lessing. Not only renowned for his literary creations, but also highly respected for his contributions to theatrical theory and religious philosophy. His works and ideas have had a profound impact on German culture and the Enlightenment movement, especially his reflection on the self-awareness of citizens and his contribution to drama. In addition, there is also a commemorative statue of Lessing in the Jewish Square in Vienna, which has been standing there since 1981 and was created by Sigfried Charux.
