The Eyebrow Butterfly, also known as the Forest Eyebrow Butterfly or the Black Tree Shadow Butterfly, belongs to the arthropod order Lepidoptera, family Ophidae, and genus Eyebrow Butterfly. It is mainly distributed in Guizhou, Yunnan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Xizang, Taiwan and other places. Its features include a brown, dark brown, or yellow brown appearance on the back and ventral sides of the body, with front wings resembling right angled triangles and rear wings resembling oval shapes. Adult butterflies can be seen all year round in Taiwan, belonging to multiple generations. Its main activity time is when the sky approaches dusk, hence it is named "Twilight Eyed Butterfly". The larvae of the Eyebrow Butterfly are hosted by the Poaceae brown leaved dogtail grass.
