Deep Mountain Viburnum is a tall mountain shaped species of Viburnum, native to South Korea and Russia. Its leaves and flowers are smaller than those of Pu Ran. The leaves of Viburnum are circular, with a slightly thin tip and shallow triangular serrations at the edges. The fruit is larger than the Viburnum, with a spherical shape and beautiful autumn leaves. In addition, the fruit of the Viburnum is upward, and in the deep mountain Viburnum, the tips of the leaves become narrow and sharp, with shallow triangular serrated edges. It is a cold resistant evergreen shrub, native to Japan, the Korean Peninsula, and China. The oval shaped fruit ripens into a deep purple color from October to November, coinciding with the flowering period. The fruit ripens from October to November, overlapping with flowering.
