The dog antelope is a small antelope that mainly lives in the shrubbery of South Africa and East Africa. The dog antelope has a shoulder height of about 30-40 centimeters and a weight of 3-5 kilograms. They have long noses and a layer of soft fur. The hair on the forehead is erect, while in males, the hair sometimes partially covers the short and circular horns. Canine antelopes are generally nocturnal animals that primarily feed before dawn and after dusk. It will be hunted by lizards, eagles, pythons, wild cats, lions, cheetahs, earth dogs, jackals, and humans. Herbivorous, mainly fed on leaves, stems, fruits, and berries. They only consume water in their bodies as water compounds to reduce the frequency of drinking water.
