"The Fall of Babylon" is an artwork created by Joseph Ducaju (1823-1891) in 1884 and is currently housed at the Royal Museum of Art in Brussels, Belgium. Babylon was an important city in the ancient Middle East, known for its magnificent city walls and hanging gardens. However, Babylon's glory did not last long. In 539 BC, Persian King Cyrus II captured Babylon, marking the end of the New Babylonian Empire.
