Pinaceae (scientific name: Pinaceae) is a family of coniferous trees in the order Pinaceae, commonly known as pine or pine trees. Although in Chinese, many of these species are called "cedars", their general characteristic is that their leaves are shaped like needles, preventing a large amount of water from evaporating. In some areas with less hot climates, such as Europe, where the latitude is around 40 to 60 degrees north, this type of plant is also common. There are 11 genera and approximately 220-250 species of the Pinaceae family, mainly distributed in the Northern Hemisphere.
